New year, new ideas to earn in the Metaverse with little effort. Let’s get down to business.

Gran Saga Badge

Have you heard of the term MMORPG? If not, you’ve probably never been to Asia.

MMORPGs, massively multiplayer online role-playing games, let hundreds or thousands of people play together simultaneously. They are very complex, sometimes to the point where people lose themselves in the game, living the life of some fictional character.

In other words, some people adore MMORPGs, and they generate billions of dollars in revenue, especially in Asia. I keep referencing Asia because Gran Saga, a game that’s about to come to Aptos, has proven to be popular in Asia. A popular game in an in-demand genre moves to Web 3, so hype will be there.

Currently, the team gives away so-called “achievement tokens,” Galxe NFTs. If you tried farming the Arbitrum airdrop, you might be familiar with Galxe. It’s a platform where projects issue participation badges in the form of NFTs. These tokens might give you some perks or allowlist seats, which is what we aim for regarding Gran Saga.

Follow the instructions in this tweet to get a badge before January 18, 2023. If you previously used Galxe with MetaMask, you will need to disconnect your Twitter and Discord from the MetaMask profile first and re-connect them to your Aptos profile. Finally, you will need some APT to mint the badge.

StarkNet Freebies from Seraph Labs

StarkNet, StarkNet, StarkNet. I won’t stop preaching about it until the network becomes over-hyped and everybody keeps talking about it. We’re still early.

You might have thought of StarkNet as “another fast Ethereum,” but it’s much more than that. The network is unique under the hood, and it even has a dedicated programming language Cairo, which is much more versatile than Ethereum’s Solidity because StarkNet doesn’t have Ethereum’s limitations. However, because we’re early, the tech is still raw.

When new technologies mature, some early builders solidify their positions as infrastructure providers. In the Ethereum world, the most prominent example is ConsenSys, which gave us MetaMask and Infura (a service that lets you send transactions without running a node). In the StarkNet world, one of the promising players is 211lp and its NFT branch Seraph Labs.

You can play with 211lp’s products on testnet and maybe get your address allowlisted for stuff on the mainnet.

First, get Starkpilled.

Starkpills are “semi-fungible” NFTs. Go here and mint yourself one by choosing from two ingredients. Remember that the app is on testnet now. If you need testnet tokens, go here.

Who doesn’t like Wassies?

Second, mint a Seraph and dress them.

Seraphs are characters in the game Seraphie. At the moment, you can only mint a character and dress it with assets from the NFT marketplace Souk. Everything is on the testnet for now.

First, you need some in-game tokens. Get them from a faucet here. Next, select one of four types on the character creation screen. Finally, customize the character and mint it.

Once you mint a character, head to Souk and buy a couple of items for your character. You might experience issues with loading the character (it’s still early and raw), so come back later if it happens.

That’s it for today. Thank you for reading.
