In this week’s blockchain gaming insights, we will check out a new game that allows you to withdraw money via Bitcoin Lightning Network.

Over the last three weeks, I mentioned three games—Rarity, Axie Infinity, and Gods Unchained—that are front-runners of the blockchain gaming industry and on a path toward mainstream adoption.

However, not everyone likes role-playing games and many other play-to-earn blockchain games are still in production. The thrill lies in third-person shooting games or simple arcade games like Temple Run and Candy Crush for some of us.

Today, I will introduce a Fortnite clone, Light Nite, that can earn you some satoshis (or “sats,” the smallest unit of BTC), as well as valuable NFTs.

Light Nite is an online multiplayer shooting game built by Satoshi’s Games, the first company to launch Lightning Network-powered games. Light Nite is based on the popular online game Fortnite and Call of Duty, with over 350 million and 100 million players.

Satoshi Games aims to bring the same multiplayer experience with added value incentives in Bitcoin sats and NFTs. So far, the developers have delivered impressive gameplay with rare complaints of lag or low latency issues. They plan to launch a mobile version of the game for Android and iOS devices by summer of 2022.

The NFTs are the potential “get rich” factor of the game. All items in the game are stored as NFTs on the Liquid blockchain.

Liquid blockchain is a Bitcoin sidechain designed by Blockstream with prominent validators in top exchanges like Bitfinex, BitMEX, and institutional service provider firms like Coinshare. Liquid Network does not entail a native blockchain token to restrict predatory behaviour on the blockchain.

The Light Nite NFTs are special characters, weapons, skins, apparel, and other features, such as hair color or tattoos.

If Light Lite achieves considerable popularity, these items can become expensive in the future. For reference, the “skins” of rare in-game artifacts in Fortnite can go up to $2,000. Whereas on other popular games like CS: GO, it can also go up to $150,000.

Light Nite NFT items are classified as either Common, Premium, or Rare. The Rare ones are currently selling between $50-$13,000. At the same time, the Premiums have a price range of $10-$30.

The online game costs $15-$20 on Satoshi’s Games’ Elixir Gaming launcher app. The game rewards players in Bitcoin sats and NFT drops.

You should be able to make your initial investment back within a month in BTC sats rewards alone by playing for 15-20 hours/week.

The daily limit to earning in the Fortnite-like Battle Royale is 5000 sats daily ($2.5 at current prices) and 24,000 sats monthly (around $15 by the same measure).

Other ways to earn sats in the game include participating in weekly community events and other single-player modes.

Community events are sponsored by Satoshi’s Games and a couple of other independent content creators and advertisers. They offer between 10,000 to 12,000 sats ($5-$7) to winners. In addition, the game has a COVID-19 theme-based arcade mission that merits up to $5 every day.

These games reward players with NFT drops along with Bitcoin sats.

Light Nite has many common items with unlimited supply and also Premium and Rare items with limited supply. These limited ones are going to get rarer as the number of gamers increase.

You can earn Premium NFTs in community events and forge them from common ones using the “Dismantle & Assemble” feature. It combines a certain number of NFTs to form new Premiums and then Premiums to Rare ones.

Now, you’re all set to start shooting and earn sats. You can also try other games on Elixir such as a Satvival (a survival game) and Sugar Sats (Candy Crush or Kwazy Kupcakes clone).

Good luck and enjoy.
